A pattern emerged showing the case to be motherhood. The clues were found in scrapbooking paper, gender-neutral colors, and children’s picture books. The story tells of a woman who at first struggles to be a writer while being a mother, but soon learns that her child and muse inspires her writing. It is the evolution of both a mother and her child.
Scrapbooking paper inspired the patterns that were incorporated into my illustrations. The illustrations were meant to emulate a children’s picture book that could be read by a mother to her child(ren).
